Marylebone Christmas Brass was formed in 2005 and consists of former students at the Royal Academy of Music. The group's members have worked and trialled with many leading professional orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the BBC Philharmonic. They are delighted to be returning once again to perform at this year's Marylebone Village Christmas Illuminations.
In Late 2007 Swansea Born Singer/Songwriter Karl Morgan entered the studio to record his debut album. After spending 2 years writing and gigging around the UK, Karl has settled on 11 self penned tracks to record. Still only 21 Karl has been influenced by some of the coolest bands from the UK and America. His sound is very Modern day "Kinks" meets "Jellyfish Power pop," with a few surprises in the middle. Front man Andy Sturmer from Jellyfish described Karl as, "Having a fantastic Sound." In January 2008 Karl was invited by the Brit awards and BMI to play the british stage Midem Cannes, where he played tracks from his debut album. Album and Tour Coming 2008." Formed in September 2007, a group of students, fronted by Choir leader and founder Maggie Copeland, make up London based Hear Me Now! The members of Hear Me Now all met on a course at the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama.
Earlier this year they entered the hugely popular BBC talent contest, Last Choir Standing. After a rollercoaster of emotions coupled with some great performances, Hear Me Now! narrowly missed out on a place in the final six. Click here to view Hear Me Now! as seen on BBC1.
During the competition, Hear Me Now! met some great people and had the privilege to share the stage with some truly gifted choirs from around Britain. They received plenty of praise and advice from the likes of Russell Watson, Sharon D. Clarke and Suzi Digby, OBE. Throughout their journey, Hear Me Now displayed their talents in a range of genres - from pop and rock to classical and new compositions. Whatever they sing, they do it with dedication and gusto!
And although Hear Me Now! are as sexy and glam as choirs come, "We're about more than make-up and high heels. We've got the quality to back it up."
Since Last Choir Standing, Hear Me Now! have realised that their passion for singing is what has brought them together and they want to continue their fine work and perhaps inspire others to get singing.

St. Vincent's is a Catholic one form entry Primary School situated in the heart of Marylebone which serves a diverse community from the local area.
A recent Ofsted inspection noted that the school has '…strong leadership, a very caring ethos and strong links with the Catholic Church… This underpins the excellent personal development of the pupils and means that they have very positive attitudes and enjoy school very much.'
As well as consistent excellent academic achievement, the school excels in many other areas. A varied physical education curriculum has resulted in strong sports teams who compete in, and win a range of events, whilst musical talents are enriched by membership of the school Orchestra and Chamber Choir. The pupils are very excited to be singing at the switch on of the Marylebone Christmas Lights! The school day is also supplemented by an array of extra curricular clubs. As well as sports and music children can participate in clubs for the School Newspaper, languages, drama, science, ICT, homework, chess, yoga and dance.
The school has an active Parents Association who will be hosting a stall to raise funds for the school. The current focus is reading and the library is being developed.
