For a local pub with a difference this popular location offers an upbeat friendly atmosphere with a variety of activities during the week. Mondays provide roast lunches throughout the day accompanied by a DJ spinning chill-out music. Tuesdays offer a quiz night, open to all for a £2 entry fee, winner takes all. When the spring kicks in breakfast will be available Saturday and Sunday. Apart from these special dates, food is served daily from Noon till 10pm (9pm on Sundays). The quirky upstairs 'Opium Room' is available to hire anytime for parties of 20 people or more and the manager is available to discuss such matters on Wednesday afternoons.
