Regent Street Cinema

Heralded as the ‘birthplace of British cinema’, Regent Street Cinema was restored to its former glory in 2015, having remained shut for 35 years. Films are judged by quality of content rather than release date: you’ll find a triple bill of the Godfather films one day, followed by a 2014 film about the Paris dance music scene the next. Events often combine film showings with talks from directors and, happily, a fully stocked bar.
