British Dental Association Dental Museum

Museum of the British Dental Association in Marylebone

There's a reason the British are renowned for having bad teeth, and that reason is drilled home by the collection of artefacts at Marylebone's Dental Museum. Old health information films and posters from the 1940s sit next to Waterloo teeth (the teeth taken from the mouths of soldiers on the battlefields at Waterloo and turned into dentures) in a rather gruesome display of dentistry's roots, to the complex equipment we are privy today. An educational insight into the impact and perception of the profession over the ages.
