Marylebone Summer Festival: Dog Show

On Sunday 11 June, local dog friendly cafe and grooming salon, Mr & Mrs Small, are returning to host the Marylebone Summer Festival Dog Show in St Marylebone Parish Church Gardens.

Expect a whole day of canine merriment from 12pm until late afternoon; including expert speakers from the dog community, a spot of yoga with dogs (known as ‘DOGA’), a variety of competitions designed for both owners and their pets to take part in, with coveted prizes to be won.

The day will be dedicated to dog lovers, dog owners and, of course, the dogs themselves.

Dog competitions
The competitions will kick-off at 12pm, with prizes to be won in categories such as ‘Look Like Your Owner’, ‘Best Fancy Dress’, and ‘Special Talents’. Competition prizes have been provided by partners of the Dog Show, including a grooming appointment, dog accessories and treats from Mr & Mrs Small, dog jackets from JOTT, and a bundle of dog accessories (collar, harness, lead, treat bag) from Caroline Gardner.

There is a £10 fee to enter per dog and all funds will be donated to our festival charity partner Greenhouse Sports.

Our event hosts
The event will be presented by BBC Radio London’s presenters, Jo Good and Anna Webb - a duo who know a thing or two about the canine world themselves, having co-authored the book Barking Blondes and held the first-ever dedicated dog broadcasting slot – The Barking Hour – on BBC Radio London.
DOGA classes
Dogamhny TM will be leading two stress-relieving, bond-building and, all importantly, fun DOGA classes; one at 3-3:45pm and at 4-4:45pm. Doga is a hybrid between a love for yoga and for dogs. It incorporates some of the traditional elements of yoga whilst supporting the bond we have with our four-legged friends, with yoga mats provided by Lululemon and live music by songwriter Onose.
