Enjoy fun and festive activities at this year’s Merry Marylebone Christmas Lights switch on event!
Santa Claus is coming to Marylebone Village
We’re excited to be bringing back the ever popular Santa’s Grotto on Thursday 9th November from 3-7pm. Families can enjoy a magical meet and greet with the jolly man himself who will be ho-ho-hoing and dishing out gifts to children.
Donations will be set at £5, with all proceeds going towards this year’s charity partner Mind in Brent, Wandsworth and Westminster. Just £5 contributes towards funding their diverse community programmes including psychoeducational workshops, creative wellbeing groups, and physical activities. These groups reduce feelings of isolation and empower people to live independently.
Festive wreath making workshops
Nothing says Christmas quite like a seasonal wreath, so be sure to join The Flower Appreciation Society for an evening of Christmas wreath making workshops in the heart of Marylebone Village.
On offer there are decorations and fresh seasonal, evergreen foliage – such as red berry, ivy and fir – to inspire your greatest design skills. You’ll use these to create a beautiful wreath, which can take pride of place on your front door throughout the festive season.
There are 3 x 1-hour slots during the event, for you to create your homemade wreath to take away with you and decorate your home. There are 20 spaces available for each slot, priced at £10pp and you will need to arrive on time for your session (with a 5-minute grace period), otherwise your space will be given away on the evening.
All proceeds from this event will go to our charity mental health partner, Mind in Brent, Wandsworth and Westminster. Your £10 contribution helps to provide employment skills training, giving people the confidence needed to thrive in the workplace.

The workshops will take place on a stall on Paddington Street.

Roaming Polaroid Photographer
Capture the best moments of the night with friends, family and loved ones with our roaming polaroid photographer, throughout the evening.
Our photographer will snap a photo of you with your family, partner, parents, old friends, new friends you’ve made at the event, or by yourself, and print it in front of your eyes. Printed on beautiful Merry Marylebone glossy paper, all photos will come with a festive border to remind us of the Christmas spirit for the rest of the year.

Bable candle painting workshops
Join ex primary school teacher, Bianca of Bable, who has been featured in the likes of Vogue, Grazia, Harper’s Bazaar and Stylist, as she hosts three magnificent candle painting workshops where you can create the kind of Christmas candles that bring you joy.
You will be shown how to paint your own beautifully unique tapered dinner candles, which are perfect gifts for loved ones or to keep for yourself. Will you opt for a Christmas green or jolly red candle? How will you choose to decorate...will it be golden snowflakes to spark that festive feeling? The possibilities are limitless!

The workshops will take place on a stall at the top end of Marylebone High Street.
