Join Daunt Books in supporting #CookForUkraine on 14th March

An event with Alissa Timoshkina and Olia Hurcules in conversation with Hannah MacInnes in support of #CookForUkraine.

Daunt Books are proud to be lending support to #CookForUkraine again this year.

This fundraiser began in February 2022, as an idea between two friends with a mutual love for food and a strong desire to help those in need. Food writers Olia Hercules and Alissa Timoshkina have achieved incredible success with their global campaign, raising vital funds and awareness to support those in crisis.

2023 marks the one year anniversary of the war in Ukraine, and your ongoing support is still greatly needed. #CookforUkraine uses the language of food to educate, raise awareness and make relatable the colossal humanitarian crisis still unfolding.

Make your way to Daunt Books to listen to a fascinating conversation celebrating the culture and food of a beautiful country, whilst lending your much-needed support to Olia and Alissa’s incredible campaign.

Alissa Timoshkina, a Siberian-born food writer and historian is the author of Salt & Time. Olia Hercules, a Ukrainain food writer, chef and activist is the author of Mamushka, Kaukasis, Summer Kitchens and Home Food. Their books will be available to purchase on the night.
